3 cups of flour
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. Salt
6 oz. unsalted butter Thats 1 stick (4oz)
1 egg
1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of water or milk I used water, you can adjust to obtain soft smooth dough
Directions :
Mix the flour and salt in food processor
Add the butter and pulse
Add the egg and water or milk in small increments and continue to pulse until a clumpy dough forms.
To make empanada dough by hand follow the same instructions but use you hands to mix ingredients together.
Split the dough into 2 large balls, flatten slightly into shape of disks. The dough can be used immediately or refrigerated until ready use within 1-2 days Max.
