You don’t have to be a French Chef to make these Crepes, I bet you will impress those little eyes watching.
Back to school edition, we are working on so many recipes. I personally hand picked this one for you! Crepes are yummy and fun they are great for breakfast or pack one for Lunch and surprise someone at school.
Ingredients 1 egg, lightly beaten 3/4 cup milk ( you can use almond milk ) 1/2 cup of all purpose flour 1 tsp. Oil ( I used coconut oil ) Cooking spray for skillet 1/8 Tsp. Of salt 3 medium bananas sliced / you can add strawberries as well Optional ( Nutella or melted chocolate for drizzle ) some fresh mint for garnish. In a medium bowl whisk the egg, milk, flour, oil and salt. Heat a lightly oiled non stick skillet, I used cooking spray make sure your skillet has flared sides. Remove from medium heat, spoon about 2-5 tablespoons you will probably need more i learned the hard way of crepe batter into the hot skillet; lift and tilt skillet to spread batter. I pre poured my tablespoons of batter in a 1/3 cup and then poured. As I poured I made circular motions with the pan. Return to the medium heat cook for 30-45 seconds or until top is set and dry. If you have a crepe maker follow the manufacturer’s directions. Top with the Banana slices, you can be as creative as you like and add other ingredients like strawberries and nuts. We stuck with bananas not to shock my son. Fold sides of crepes over the bananas and enjoy!!
